Spiral balancer repair

Question

Dear Sir:

I have 15 tilted windows and all sashes are dropping down.

I believe that it needs some tensions. These windows are 20 years old.

It definitely sounds like your balances could use some winding. See our 75-005 tool for non-tilt window spiral balances and our 75-006 tool for tilt window spiral balances. We also have a couple guides and videos, which you can see on the right side of this page. They should help you out.
