Spiral balancers

A quick learner from Westerville ohio says:
This is a picture of the two balancers I took out of my tilt window. After measuring I came up with a 27 and1/2 inch tube and 28 and 1/2 spiral. The dimensions of the glass is 26 1/4 x 30 1/2 and weighs 18 lbs.The diameter of the tube is 3/8 inch.It also has a blue end which you should be able to see in the picture. What wood you recommend, since everything on your website is by the inch? Thanks

Paul from SWISCO responded:

The plastic tube you show in your photos should actually measure closer to 5/8" diameter rather than 3/8". That said, I believe you can go with our S600-28 spiral balance with a blue tip that holds a sash weight of 12-31 pounds. Take a look to see if this is a match for you. The balance tubes we offer are metal, and not plastic. You may also want to consider going with our 75-006 charging tool to help with the new installation.
