Spiral balances

A home owner from Chattanooga Tennessee says:
From Aluminum windows that are
very lightweight

Plastic piece is white

I have been unable to find white ones. Will red work? Can the red be charged to work on a "white" weight window?

I get 25 inches long but not sure if 3/8 or 5/8. Seem to be in between

Thanks for reaching out! It appears that your balance has a diameter of 5/8", which means you'd need the S500-25 non-tilt window spiral balance. To determine which tip color you'll need it is recommended to obtain the exact weight of the sash. I have seen instances where the red tip can be used for white, but that is not always the case. So that's why it is best to get the sash weight.
