Hello. We have several windows that are not easy to open and close (up and down). Recently while opening/closing one window a spiral metal piece fell down the side of the window which makes me think it is a spiral balance. I also included a photo if under the window to show how the balance might be attached. It looks different that the videos I have watched. Can you please help me figure out which balance type I need and any other parts?

Thanks for posting! After a thorough review of your photos, I have to say, I am not able to recognize the hook that connects the spiral to the bottom corner of the sash. In fact, its unlike anything we ever sold in the past.
Is there any way we can see a clearer picture of that hook? This will help to ensure I am not misidentifying the hardware in your photos.
Seeing the existing spiral balance removed from the window entirely would be the most helpful way to ensure we are recommending the right replacement, if possible. Are you able to remove the balance?

We had a spiral balance just break on a different window last night. Here are pictures of the window, balance thatI removed and the end of the balance that broke off. I am assuming the previous window I showed you has the same hook. Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, we do not carry a replacement for the spiral balance shown in your photos. We did carry the balance and the attachment at one point but we have not been able to source a suitable replacement solution.
I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
