Spiral tension balance

We can help, but we will need more information before we can get started. First, can you tell me the length of the gray outer tube? Also, what does the stamp read? I can somewhat make it out, but not the whole thing. Can you also confirm the weight of the sash?

These balances are built with a specific pre-calibrated tension, so they are not designed to be charged like other spiral balances. That is one of the reasons why we need to know what the stamp reads.
