Spline for old metal storm window

A quick learner from Middleburg Heights,Ohio says:
I'm attempting to reinsert this metal spline in a metal storm window. It's Very difficult and not cooperating at all. Do you have a vinyl or butyl replacement? Looking at it from the side, it's overall 1/2"

Hello,

I don't recognize this part at first glance but I'm going to have one of our senior experts take a look and see if they could recommend a replacement for you. We'll reach out as soon as more information is available. Thank you!

Back when we were repairing these types of storm frames, we always tried to reuse that same metal beading that came out of the frame. There was a vinyl glazing spline we carried at one time, but I don't believe it is still available.

Take a look at the seals we've associated for you and order some samples to try out in your storm sash here. Hopefully, one of these will work for you. However, as I said, we recommend trying to reuse the metal glazing if it is not too bent up. Also, you might need a little adhesive. Check with a hardware store in your area. My guess would be a silicone caulk. Thanks for posting!
