Hello,

Your photos resemble the (3/8") S900 tilt window spiral balance, which matches the diameter of your plastic housing tube. There is a chart on the product page that explains how to choose your color option based on the weight of your window sash.

As for the plug in your jamb, take a look at the 26-200 screw plug. Review the measurements below to confirm it will fit the opening in your jamb liner. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for the reply. Instructions for S900 say "When determining the length, only measure the metal tube".
However, in my case, there are two distinct sections (my first photo): top is metal tube section (12" long). And bottom is spring section (16" long). The spring encapsulates the metal tube for about 3/4" length and that is how spring is held onto the metal tube.
Can you please confirm that I need to measure only the metal tube length for ordering S900?

The plastic housing tube of your original balance is broken. It should extend to just above the blue tip, covering the internal metal portion of the housing. You'll need to measure the entire housing, not including the spiral that extends from the bottom, to determine the correct length.

Ok. If I understand you correctly,  I should measure from the bottom of plastic housing in my photo upto the blue tip on top. I should NOT measure the metal tube inside the plastic housing. Am i correct?

If the outer tube is cracked off, we recommend using an identical window with an intact tube as a reference. The image below shows how to determine the length.
