As for the balance, can you confirm the length of the metal channel?

It's very unusual for this type of balance channel to be on the half-inch. However, take a look at the S795-35. It will be 1/2" longer, so you might have to lower the window stop at the top of the window so as not to break the t-lock shoe when fully raising the window sash. You can also select the 35D stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 27 to 32 pounds.
