Spring Balance for Wood Tilt Window

Quick Learner from Minneapolis
Looking for a spring window balance used in a wood tilt window. Balance consists of a spring encased in a plastic tube and plastic clips to secure to the window.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid we can't help from this information alone. Can you show us some photos of the hardware in question? We'd specifically like to see an undamaged balance removed from the window. There's a chance that we may need more photos and information after that, but I have to know what to ask for first. Just something to keep in mind.

Great, thank you for the photos! We don't sell a match for this balance system. The only thing in our inventory that might work is the Series 500 along with the 17-012 bracket (sold separately). I can't make any promises but it may be worth considering.

For length, the rule of thumb for wood windows is to measure the height of the visible glass and then add 3" if it's for the bottom sash and 1" if it's for the top sash. For example, if the visible glass is 15" high, then you want an 18" long balance (bottom sash) and a 16" long balance (top sash).
