Spring Coil Balance Hardware Replacement

Question

Hi, my 19 year old windows that say Proview on the latches have coils that are all starting to spring out of their casing.
One picture shows the intact balance, the other shows the coil unraveled (which I cut in a few places to try to remove without success. I was trying to to lower the tension I case the whole thing popped out of the track).
The shoe on the broken side is still working and can hold the window up.
Thr track is 1 1/2" wide.
This window is 31" wide.
The same as happening to the 41" (pictures not included).
I would love to find the replacement balances and be able to replace as the rest of the windows are in perfectly good condition.

Hi Miriam,

Thanks for posting! I'm afraid I cannot identify the replacement assembly needed for your window using the photos provided. The view of the balance shoe is obstructed by the window track/frame, so it is hard to make out the exact design of the shoe. May I see a photo of the shoe removed from the window?

To determine the correct replacement springs for the assembly, I'll need to know the stamp/marking on the coils. If the existing coils do not have a stamp/marking, I'll need to know the exact weight of the window sash.
