Spring #SA336

Question

Both coiled balanced springs on my widow are broken. I believe these are all that need to be replaced. I'm pretty sure that this replacement window was made by Certainteed and is at least 20 years old. Please let me know if you think I should replace all the parts due to their age, or just the springs.

Thanks for posting. This looks like the Certainteed 15-192 Pivot Shoe. This shoe works with Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Balances. See the video below for details. For a single coil stamped '336', go with the S170-336 6 pound coil spring. If your old coil housing is undamaged you can reuse it; otherwise, see the 15-156 cover and 15-157 drum.
