Spring balance to spiral balance swap

The broken balance is a spring balance. Can a spiral balance be substituted? If so what can I then do to order a pair? Thank you

We don't usually recommend substituting one balance type for another, but it is possible in some circumstances. I'm just not sure what it is you have. You say you have a spring balance, but that pretty much describes every balance ever made. Could you show me a picture of yours?
