Spring for Loose Window Screens

We have cheapo aluminum screens, and the slot where a leaf spring would go is slightly less than 3'16 in. What springs can we use, and please indictate how they would be installed. Thank you. Jim

Thanks for posting! I'm sorry, but I'm a little confused about the length of the slot. Can you confirm? Do you mean to say it's 3/16", or 3-x/16"?

In the meantime, please take a look at our selection of Panel Insert Replacement Tension Springs and see if you can find one that will fit!

Sorry about the confusion- my fault. The width of the slot along the outside of the frame is only 3/16" (actually a little less). This slot can be seen in the view on the left, just outside (to the left of) the turn clip. So a leaf spring at 1/4" wide would not go into the slot. Thanks for the quick response.

Our 70-030 spring is 3/16" wide. Could that work? You may also want to look at our 70-193, which is 1/8" wide.
