Spring for Simonton windows

Question

I have attached 4 photos, these windows use 4 ea 5.5 lb springs, two on each side. The current spring, see photo, says 5.5 and 33" but it has a 20" section that is not coiled that gives an over all length of 53".

I one of the photos I have compared your S160-5 spring with the current spring and you can see the difference.

Can you identify this part or do you have an alternative part?

Hey, good to see you again. I haven't been able to find a coil spring that has a long leg like your original. I suspect it may have just been stretched out over time and use, especially since it says 33" right on the spring. That's a pretty typical length, and I don't think they'd print that on the coil if it was really 53". Have you tried using the S160-5 as a replacement? If so, was it not able to work? Where exactly did you run into problems?
