It sounds like you may be referring to the balances that support the weight of the sash. If so, we'll need to see photos of an intact balance fully removed from the window. 

It also looks like one of your vent latches is missing. If you could show us a close-up photo of the latch on the other side, that would help us narrow down your options. Thank you!
