Spring type vs spiral

HI, I ordered the 36" series 900 for the replacement, however, the original as shown in the pics is not spiral type, just a spring. What is the product recommendation as some of my windows require a 36" and the other size is 29 1/2"

Hello! I'm not sure that I understand your question. The balance in your photos is a spiral balance, of that there is no doubt. Yours is just an older version with a plastic tube instead of the metal tube that ours comes with.
Have you tried to install the Series 900 that you bought? Assuming that the white tube is 3/8" on your original, then I see no reason why our product shouldn't work.
