Stainless steel axel

Question

We purchased a 40 yr old condo. It has aluminum sliding windows. After pulling the slider out of the frame and looking at the bottom of slider to determine the condition of the roller, all I see is what looks like your "87-058X stainless steel axel" product. Are there supposed to be wheels surrounding these axels? All of the windows in the condo just have the axels, no wheels. Thanks

Unfortunately, the previous owners never maintained or serviced the window sand let the rollers wear out to the point where you do not have a good sample to find a replacement roller with. Check all of your windows to see if any of them still have the roller intact. You could also check to see if any of your neighbors have the same windows.
