Stamp on a Channel balance

A home owner from California says:
I am replacing the channel balances of a non-tilt window. The metal part measures 27 in, 1/2 in width. I can identify it as a 385 channel balance.

I cannot make sense of the stamp of my old channel balance. I need help.

It reads 26-3 GE5 CMC 75, and I have an Alpine window.

I am also attaching pictures so you can see what I am seeing. Thank you so much.

Hi there!

Thank you for your patience during our busy season! With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380-27 or S385-27 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. As for the stamp, yours reads as "26-3" which means you'll need a spring strength option of 2630.

If you have any further questions just let us know!
