Stamped: 86 29-3 KAS CMC 2

Question

These Channel Balances are winged at the top and bottom and are stamped as follows:

86 29-3 KAS CMC 2. The channel balance on the left was mounted under the pulled out metal tab while the one on the right was mounted all the way to the top of the window channel beyond the metal tab. Not sure if this is right? Any installation I have seen has both channel balances under the metal tab at the top with the metal hook in the opening of the window frame at the bottom. Please help if you can.

Hi there Fred.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can help with this. It will just have to be a custom order due to the 86 stamp. That tells me that your balance has a special calibration that isn't matched by any of our standard parts. What I will do now is email you an order link for (2) balances that you can use to place an order on our website.

As for the mounting, the channel balance should be below the takeout clip as shown in the video below around the 1:20 mark.
