I need 4 of the complete balances for the lower sash to repair 2 sash's. 1 of the metal rods on the bottom left side of one window, 1 part on the upper right corner of the bottom sash that locks the sash onto the frame.

Hello, thank you for posting,

It appears your window uses the Series 220 coil balance that is 1-1/4" wide by 5/8" thick. Unfortuantely I cannot confirm if the number reads 6 or 9. Can you confirm the weight of the window sash?

For the pivot bar, we will need to see an undamaged version if possible to confirm the style of the tip that engages with the coil balance pivot shoe.

For the tilt latch, can you confirm the length of the body excluding the locking tab? Thank you!

Thank you for the quick reply! The window sash's weight is 11.7 lbs. I sent a better picture to help clarify also. The locking tab appears to be 2 3/4" I have also included a couple of pictures. Last but not least I have included a picture of the pivot bar also. Thank you, David

Hi David,

For the tilt latch, is the 2-3/4" length measurement including or excluding the latch tab? I need to confirm the length excluding. I cannot get a good read from the picture. I'm not sure we have any exact match, but at first sight, the style resembles the 26-464 or 26-442. Double check and compare these dimensions and let me know what you think!

For the pivot bar, please review the dimensions of the 26-360 and 26-415 bars to see how the installation holes match up.

For a 111.7 pound window, please see the S220-06 coil balance assembly to be used on each side of the window. Let me know if you have any questions!

The s-220 roller tilt seems to be the correct balance assembly. It's good to see that obviously there was a change to metal in the pivot cam. I now have 6 of those that are broken. . I assume the slotted part of it to slide the tilt-pivot bar into is hidden in the picture. 26-360 is the correct length and 2 of the holes are in the correct place. The 26-464 is the correct measurement Tilt latch assembly. Thank you for your help, David

Is there a specific tool that would aide in the removal of the broken balances. The area of the balance that accepts the pivot are is cracked badly and it seems as though the balances are then locked in place.

Hi David,

We do not have a specific tool for this situation. We recommend trying to use a slotted screw driver to turn the cam out of the locked position. Let me know if the issue persists!
