Stopper how to remove it

Question

Hi! I bought a house and the windows on the second floor has on both side stoppers. It means that it is impossible to open them, you need to be 2 people, one pulls the tilt latch , the other one open the window. It was considered  on the house inspection as a safety concern in case of fire. how can I correct that problem? I can not remove a stopper as it is inside the frame. Thanks

Thanks for reaching out! The part in the window track is the coil spring cover. If the window is not working properly, it is likely the entire assembly is damaged. We can very likely provide you with the replacements, but you'll need to remove the sash so that I can identify the shoe and the other compatible hardware.
