Storm Door Latch

Question

The photos show the storm door latch set. The interior latching part has failed such that the part to engage with striker on the door jam as show in image 8 is missing.

The exterior handle rotates freely. The interior latch handle does not operate.

There are no identification numbers or trade marks on this set

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hello,

It sounds like the problem is with the interior handle. If so, the exterior handle should start working again once the damaged part is replaced.

I would recommend starting by comparing the specifications of the 40-145 to your part. If you'd prefer to replace the entire assembly, take a look at the 40-058. Thanks for posting.
