Storm Door Latch

Home Owner from Tenafly, NJ
I'm looking for one or two replacement units similar in size, and, if necessary, a new key lock unit(s) as in Image #1.

The back plate is 2" x 6", has a "part number" of "1140-3" embossed on its rear side as well as a "U.S. Pat. Pend.", but no manufacturer data.

The piece that failed is the plastic cog in Image #3, which holds the knob onto the back plate.

The latch is approximately 20 years old.

Thanks for posting. I'm afraid that this latch is no longer available. What I have done in the past, though, was use our 40-177 lock. I had to put some shims to under the inside latch to meet the keeper, and it took a little work, but I believe it is the best solution. Take a look and see if you agree.
