Storm King Door Closer

Hello,

We own a home which has an older pneumatic door closer installed which after many years of use has finally gone bad and is in need of replacement.

The model is a Storm King 105 (silver colored) and was made by S-B Mfg. Co. Milwaukee, WI.

I'm afraid Storm King is out of business. The closest we have is our 40-079, but I cannot guarantee that this will work for you. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I am sure you can't guarantee anything.
I would guess this would be a trial and error.
I would also hope I could return this if it is a problem.
The storm door is a custom 36" door, are there more than one size closer?

The 40-079 is the only door closer similar to the old style Storm King. I don't believe it will last as long as your original, but it should work well as a replacement.

I had another thought, too. You could try to lubricate your old Storm King closer. I have done this in the past with older door closers and it seemed to help.
