For the inside latch, please start by reviewing the style and dimensions of the 40-150. The main difference you'll notice is that it does not have the same lock on it. I'm not sure if that one is still available. You could consider installing a 40-039 dead bolt lock to make up for it, or you may even be able to replace the complete lock set with something like our 40-152 or 40-177. Take a look and review dimensions to see what you think!

I would suggest cutting the spindle down. Cut it down a little at a time to make sure you get the correct length. I actually have personally used the 40-152 handle set. I put one on my storm door at home. If you haven't already take a look at the related videos.
