Storm Door Handle Question

Hi, we ordered a replacemant handle, but cant figure out how to install it. See uploaded photo. We bought the white one from Swisco to replace the gold one. All the measurements match, but the shaft does not seem to fit. Can you help us figure this out? Thanks, John and Mary

Thanks for contacting SWISCO. Sorry to hear about your trouble with installing the 40-150. This Inside Handle comes with an added insert for spindles that are 3/16". This insert can be removed for wider 5/16" spindles. Try removing this insert and seeing if the handle will then fit. Check out the video below to see how this process works.
