Storm door handle

Question

I am trying to replace the handle on my storm door, which is only 1" thick. The existing one is missing the latch bolt, so it doesn't close (although the deadbolt works). Every handle I've seen in stores is for a thicker door. There are no brand markings on the handle I have.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe you have an EMCO/FOREVER brand storm door. Take a look at our 40-183, 40-193, and 40-211 to start out. I'm not sure they will fit your storm door, but they our our best options. especially make sure to compare the mortise latch dimensions and back set we show with your mortise latch.

If they are still too thick for your skinny door, see if there is a name tag or identification number on the side edge of the storm door. Maybe that will tell you the make of the storm door.
