The only replacement i have been able to find is thicker and not as deep as the latch attached.
Any help is appreciated

At first glance, your mortise lock reminds me of the assembly that comes with the 40-211 mortise lever set. Take a look at the dimensions below to determine if they match up to your part. Thanks for posting!
