Storm door latch

A quick learner from Denver, CO says:
Looking for an inside latch for a storm door with a 5/16" spindle. Something similar to part 40-150. Can't get the old spindle removed from the original set so need a spindle too.

Hello,

If you're just looking to replace the inside latch, I agree that the 40-150 would be the way to go as long as the dimensions match up. The compatible spindle would be our 40-187L if you need that as well. Take a look at our product pages with dimensions and helpful videos to confirm that these parts will work for you. Thanks for posting!

A quick learner from Denver, CO says:
40-187L looks like it is 3/16". Is there a 5/16" option? As the smaller spindle won't work with the outside knob.

I'm afraid that we do not carry a spindle in that size. That said, what I've done in the past was to purchase a square rod at the proper thickness and cut it to the length I needed for the storm door.
