Storm door latch with a 5/16" spindle opening

Looking for a storm door latch like 40-145 but that will accept a 5/16" square spindle. What do you recommend?

Hmm... I'm having trouble finding something that can take a 5/16" spindle. Our 40-150 can take a 3/8" spindle. Could that work for you? If not, please take a few pictures of your handle for us to see and we can try to work from there.

Can I replace your 40-145 with your 40-150? Will it mount up in the existing 1 3/4" holes and meet up the same way your 40-145 does with the strike plate without having to re-drill new mounting holes?

Both handles have the 1-3/4" hole centers. However, I would like to see your existing handle, since you are not sure which one to purchase. We may be able to find a better match for you once we see what you have.
