Storm door mortise latch

I am hoping to replace the storm door mortise latch on what I believe is a Sears storm door about 30 years old. The dimensions on your model 40-194 seem to be the same, but the opening for the thumb bolt/lock is not the same. My door has a rectangular piece in the same location, and fits into a circular hole on the inside and outside face plates on the door. Does your part 4-194 contain a thumb-turn lock, and will it fit my pre-drilled face plate holes?

The 40-194 does not contain a thumb turn lock, no. It's only a mortise. We do sell the 40-193, which includes the 40-193 mortise as well as the complete handle set, but at this stage I have no idea if it will fit in your door. I would need photos of the original set, along with detailed written dimensions, in order to make a recommendation.

Thanks for your response. I believe I have identified the door the Forever View which appears to be an Andersen door, perhaps now EMCO, and replacement parts are available.

I appreciate your help and admire the Swisco website. Glad I found it, but think I can get the part from Andersen.
