Storm window latch

A quick learner from 53402 says:
These are really old windows. The latch on the one side is broken inside and I haven't been able to close the storm in years! I just want to close the storm. What can I do?

Hello,

Are you able to remove the undamaged latch from the other side of the window? We'd need to see the latch in questions, along with dimensions, to compare to our selection here. Thank you!

How do you go about removing the latch?

I believe you need our 91-179 slide bolt assembly. Ton confirm you would need to remove the sash from the window frame and unscrew the thumbscrew to slide out the locking stem and spring. Once that's done, compare the specifications on our product page to yours.
