Strike doesn't have a pin

There could be a few different reasons why your keeper isn't triggering the anti-slam button. The most common explanation is that the keeper isn't properly aligned with the mortise. That button has to hit the keeper dead-center when the door closes, and if it's off even by a little then it would result in the problem you're experiencing.

Your first step should be to adjust the rollers, which can be done by turning the adjustment screw on the bottom corners of the sash. This will raise and lower the door as it sits in the frame. This will take a little trial and error, but hopefully you can find a good alignment with minimal effort. Just make sure you're not turning the screw that holds the roller in the door! 

The other idea is to try to adjust the keeper itself as it sits in the frame. Since the installation holes are oblong, you should have a little bit of wiggle room in that sense, but in a worst case scenario you may indeed have to drill new holes.
