Striped Crank hardware

Question

Tilt window. Crank mechanism disengages completely from the housing when I attempt to close the window. Crank mechanism is center located on the bottom of the window. Arms extend much like an elbow extending outward. Crank mechanism is meant to be screwed into the housing and appears to striped threads.

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you need to replace both the crank handle and the operator itself. We can help you replace both items, but I'm going to need to see a picture of the operator removed from the window, or at least with the window open, so that both link arm(s) are in view. Many thanks.
