Stripped Gears

A quick learner from Pennsylvania says:
The cranking mechanism on one of our Anderson casement windows has been stripped and the housing cracked. What do we to do to fix this? It is in a bank of 9 windows that are al least 20 years old

Tom from SWISCO responded:
If the worm gear is coming out of the operator, then the gears are stripped and the whole mechanism will have to be replaced. I see you were looking at our 39-094. This may be a match, but it's hard to tell from your pictures. You only show the base. I would look over our dimensions and measurements to confirm that everything matches up to what you have now.
