Stripped Hex Handle Hg04 2006u

A quick learner from Lexington, Kentucky says:
Hello,
Looking for help on either replacing the operator or handle for part number
Hg04 2006u
Seems to be a common issue but I?m not sure if I should replace the operator or simply buying a new male hex handle.

Thanks,
John

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
If your operator is otherwise still working, then I would just replace the handle with our 39-226 male handle. Take note that in some cases the black "collar" in the operator could be worn and will not hold the handle securely. You could just apply a little tape around the handle's stem to help secure it in the operator. If you do want to replace the complete operator, take a look at our 39-399. This is a newer version that uses a more typical handle like the 39-114L or the 39-205 fold down type. See if this hardware matches up to yours.
