Strom door handle

Home Owner from reading, pa
Do you have this handle mechanism? I think it's a Wright, but not sure. The storm door is 20 years old and mfr. name is not on it. Except that the top and bottom door pumps have a Wright label on them.

Approx. dimensions of the above unit are as follows:

storm door inside handle plate - 7 3/16 between screws; 15/16 inch wide

storm door edge of handle - 7 inches between top and bottom screws' 5 inches between inside screws; plate width 13/16 inch

strike plate - 4 inches from top of top rectangle to bottom of bottom rectangle openings; 1 1/8 inches between rectangle openings

outside storm door plate - 1 1/4 inches wide

thanks for your help.

Thanks for posting! The best match I could find in our inventory was our 40-193. The dimensions are close, but not exact. Look it over and see what you think.

One vital dimension to consider is the backset of the mortise. In the image below, this is indicated as 7/8".

Don't know if I'm asking this right, but what is distance from middle/centerline of latches to the other?

I have a different cover for the latch spaces in the door frame that could work if the latch distances are correct.

Thanks

Hey, Chuck. I'm not sure what dimension you're looking for, exactly. Could you be more specific?

Does everything else match on our 40-193? If there are any other significant differences, then the dimension you're looking for would be moot.

I'm referring to the latch plate as pictured above top row second from left pic. And the dimensions of the rectangular openings and distance apart from each other. Yes as far as I can tell the other dimensions match.

Thanks

Oh, I think I understand. Sounds like you're asking about the keeper. I'm afraid we don't sell anything in that style, but the 40-193 is compatible with our 40-197. Could you get that to install on your door?

I would like to re-Use the old keeper as long as the two latches will fit into it. Do you know if they will from either handle set given the dimensions I gave in my original inquiry above?

I do believe the 40-193 handle set is the closest to yours. It uses the 40-194 mortise latch. If the mortise latch matches yours which it looks like it does you should be able to use the same keeper. Look over both of these pieces and let us know your thoughts.
