Stuck tilt latch

A quick learner from SC says:
The tilt latch(no screws) on one side of a single hung vinyl window is stuck. I have wiggled it, jiggled it, gently tried to pry the end to no avail. I then tried to pry it up but it appears to have some type of spring retaining it. Also I'd hate to break it before I find a replacement. I sprayed it with silicon lubricant and have tried again - no luck.

Thanks for your correspondence. Do you know the window manufacturer? We'd like you to tilt in the sash and show us the locking mechanism on the side of the sash. That might helps in identifying the latch.
