Subject: Help locating window crank Hardware----Crank Mechanism Not Operating Properly

Home Owner from City of Beverly Hills
My windows use a crank-style handle to open and close. The handle itself still turns, but when I try to open the window, the arm outside doesn’t pull the window — it looks like the linkage is broken or disconnected. Right now, the window can’t be closed properly.I’m trying to locate the correct replacement hardware (crank mechanism and arm) for this type of window. Would you be able to help identify the parts or suggest where to find them?I’ve attached photos of the crank system and the window for reference.

Thanks for writing in! The issue are describing leads me to believe the gear inside the operator is stripped. If I am correct, you'll need to replace the entire mechanism to repair the window.

This operator appears to be an older version of the 39-171 Truth Hardware Dyad Operator. The link arm is connected to the 39-509 Clip-Stud Bracket. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to confirm that this is the right replacement.

The compatible handles can be found tagged below this thread, along with the opposite versions of the operator and stud bracket.
