Substitute for 1" diam wheel, 23-043 vs 23-198

A home owner from usa says:
Hi there,

I was looking at Product Code:23-043 on your website and it looks like the correct fitting for a replacement I need, however I wanted to confirm before submitting an order.

A few weeks ago, I bought a replacement concave track from your company but I found that my current roller sits too low with a 1" diam. wheel (see attached). I think purchasing a 1-1/4" dia. may provide the required spacing needed and can prevent the roller from grinding on the track.

On the other hand, Product Code:23-198 also looks like a match but I'm concerned it will sit too high with 1-1/2" diam. but at least it's guaranteed to not grind at all. What do you think?

One more thing... the mirror door is 48'x78" and has some weight (maybe an estimated 60lbs+). Because the wheels are plastic, are your rollers rated to handle that load capacity?

Appreciate any suggestions or guidance you can provide.

In your case you might be safer with the 1-1/4" diameter wheel. If the 1" was only just shy, then 1-1/2" would be overkill.

Also keep in mind that these rollers can be adjusted, meaning you can raise and lower the housing. In most cases that makes up for any difference in wheel diameter. With the proper adjustments you may very well be able to use the 1" wheel you have now.

Our rollers can carry your door weight, but they are still nylon. Regardless of how much weight this kind of roller is rated to carry, nylon is always going to be weaker than steel. There's just no way around that. All that aside, these rollers are typically expected to have a lifespan of 10-15 years depending on frequency of use.
