Substitute pivot shoe

I have to replace several pivot shoes. The dimensions and picture of your part number 15-118 look exactly like my part; however, I would like to get a pivot shoe that has an opening (an opening or slot in the cam) so that the sash could be removed more easily. The windows are very heavy and its not easy to get the window in and out. Could you suggest a replacement part?

You may be able to use our 15-188, but I'm not sure. We usually recommend sticking with what you have. You never know what may go wrong when you switch out hardware.
