his is an older style sliding glass door.
This appears to be a surface mount lock.
I have taken all types of measurements. See pictures.
The full length of the locking handle is 7".
The measurement of the center hole to center hole is approximately or exactly 6 1/2"
On the wood trim side, where the latch locks into, if needed I can always cut out some trim to mount it.
I hope that you can help me find something that I can install.

Your original handle set has been discontinued, but we have had customers in the past use the 82-036 handle set as an alternative. Please review the overall style and dimensions to see if you think this style could work for your door. Let us know what you think and if you have any additional questions!
