Thanks for writing. These are surface-mount levers that interact with an internal tilt latch. It is difficult to say what latches you need without seeing the hardware removed from the window. For the surface lever, we need to know the lengths of the prongs that are on its underbelly, as well as the distance between the two prongs; this is the best way for identifying these surface levers. You can see our selection of surface levers here and internal tilt latches here. |

Being that the windows are old, unfortunately, there is no good technique to remove the finger levers from the tilt latch without breaking the bottom snap-in hooks. We suggest removing a finger lever that isn't working to avoid causing any further damage and sliding a putty knife under the lever to force it up and away from the tilt latch. Take a look at the 26-119 and 26-234 as two possible replacements for you to compare the bottom snap-in hooks to once yours is removed. |

That is definitely one solution that we recommend fairly often to customers with internal tilt latches that we don't carry. If you want a guaranteed solution and are willing to carefully drill new installation holes in the window sash, take a look at our video below to see how to successfully convert to a surface mounted latch. |
