Sweep lock doesn't slide under groove

Home Owner from Mesa Az
I know the 90-005 part would be the appropriate replacement for my needs, however I do not know if that is what I need to fix my issue. The problem I am having is the sweep lock no longer slides under the groove of the top window to effectively lock the window from opening. There are 2 locks and the other one is still able to engage.

Okay, I see what you mean. It seems like the top and bottom sashes are not meshing tightly enough. Remove the bottom sash and clean out the interlock. Do the same for the top sash. Sometimes, when cleaning windows, a piece of dirt or rag slips in the interlock and prevents the sashes from meshing. Make sure there are no obstructions and reinstall the sashes and see how that works.
