How is The T-slot weatherstripping inserted into the slot? Does the Better Built window need to be taken apart to do this?

Most Better Bilt window sashes are welded so you can't take them apart to replace the weather strip. In this situation you can carefully cut a small outlet with an utility knife on the corner to slide out the weather strip. I hope this has answered your question.
