THREE POST SURFACE MOUNT STORM DOOR HANDLE W/ KEYED INTERIOR DEADBOLT

Handy Person from Alderson, WV
I have an older storm door installed in the mid-90s. The inside mechanism is exactly like your 40-131 (see photo#1), however the outdoor mechanism is keyed (see photo#2). A door knob or lever handle will work, but I need it to be keyed and I want to use the existing holes. Is there a keyed version of the 40-131? If not, can you recommend where I could locate a similar item?

Hello!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I wonder if our 40-058 might be what you want. This part is a bit different than the 40-131 but it works under the same principles and has a key lock. The problem is that your keyhole might be a bit too close to the spindle to use the 40-058 without drilling new holes. Just something to be mindful of!

So what you are saying is that there is no exterior hardware with a key lock that aligns with the interior hardware of 40-131. Can you tell me who might have manufactured my lock? The interior hardware is identical to the 40-131.

Correct, I'm afraid we just don't sell an exact match for the hardware you're looking for. The 40-058 is the best option in our inventory though.

We don't know who may have manufactured your lock, unfortunately. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
