TRYING TO FIND MATCH FOR THE WINDOW SPRING LATCH THINGY...

Hello.
I have this latch on a home I am doing some repairs at.
It is pretty worn (dirty) but hopefully the photos I will attach help to understand what it is.  I think I lost the center slide thumb piece when I took it off the window but hopefully the photos are enough to help me get the right piece.   ty

Hello there!

Thank you for contacting us. We're happy to look into this. It's hard to get accurate dimensions from photos of a tape measure, however. Can you write out the distance between the two installation holes, measured from center to center? Can you also write out the backset?

Hello. Thank you for your help. It's 2 and 1/8 inches as far as the distance between the center of the installation holes

Thank you for confirming. Take a look at the 26-120 and 26-121, as well as the 26-228 and 26-229. Review the specifications and see how they compare with your old tilt latch.

They are very similar but the 26-120 and 26-121 are 3-1/8" long and the 26-228 and 26-229 are 3-1/4" long. Please note that the 3/4" backset is important, so you'll want to ensure your old latch measures the same.
