I AM LOOKING TO REPLACE THE COUNTER WEIGHT SYSTEM FOR OVER SIZED WOODEN SASH WINDOWS AT MY CHURCH. I HAVE TAKEN ONE WINDOW OUT AND HAVE THE HARDWARE AVAILABLE. I NEED HELP IDENTIFYING THE CORRECT REPLACEMENT PARTS.

Thanks for posting, Scott! This is a very odd looking balance. Could you please give me the dimensions of the tube? I will need the length and the diameter. We can work from there!

3/4"x54" the tube itself. And that includes the mounting screw hole at the top of the unit.

Thank you for getting back to us. These are very old Helix balances and they haven't been made in years, but we can make up a custom balance that may work as a replacement. I just need a bit more information.

Could you actually give me the length of the tube not counting the screw hole tab? Could you also give me the weight of the window sashes, if at all possible? If there are any numbers printed on the old balance, that would help, as well.

The tube has an L44 on the tube. Measures 53" long. And unfortunately I do not know the weight of the sash. It is a large window though close to 40-50 lbs I'd say.

How fast are you able to do something like this? I have a meeting tomorrow with someone from the church and would like to give him an estimated turn around time.
