I am afraid I can't cross-reference that code to a specific lockset. Can you show me a picture of the hardware you have? I'll do my best to find what you need from there. Thanks.

I think this mortise latch might be our 40-194; please compare the dimensions we list in the pictures to confirm. If so, then the whole handle set is our 40-193, and a Strike Plate that works with this lock is our 40-197. Take a look at all these items and let me know what you think.

40-194 is the correct mortise latch but the handle set is shorter length is 7 1/2 inches

Hi there, maybe I can help. On the 40-193 handle set, the mounting hole centers are at 7-1/4" apart. Check to see what your mounting hole centers are on your existing handle set and door. The face plate is 8-1/4" end to end. If yours are not the same could you tweak the mounting holes in the door a little or reuse your existing face plate. Let us know what you think.
