Tension Rollers for Bottom of Screen Door

Quick Learner from Orlando, FL, United States
These are old (1996) tension rollers from the bottom of a sliding screen door. They are broken and need to be replaced but the manufacturer does not make them anymore, so I am looking for a possible substitute. I have determined that the hardware is called "Prime Line B-507 sliding screen door tension roller." The wheel has a diameter of 1", the metal tab is about 5/16" wide, and the whole roller is about 3" long. If you know of a possible alternative to this roller, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid I am not familiar with the roller shown here. Please allow me to consult one of our senior experts. I can't promise we'll have a replacement but we'll reach out as soon as we have more information.

Your original roller is no longer available, unfortunately. What I have done to replace this roller was to use either the 84-001 or the 84-084. You will have to use a set of pliers and bend the tension spring to match the shape of your original roller. Basically, you need to bend the spring so that it "locks" or catches inside the cutout of the patio screen door. Take a look at the specifications and see what you think.
